This gallery presents some endemic, near-endemic, rare or threatened bird species, that we enjoy greatly in our birding excursions. Many of these birds are not easy to see and much less to photograph. In this case, it is not so much a matter of image quality, but of the excitement of having the bird in short distance.
This gallery has bird images taken by Daniel Uribe during a photography excursion visiting nature reserves in the Central Andes of Colombia with two advanced amateur photographers - Mr. Fidel Jaramillo and wife Ana María Salazar from Bogotá.
On our birding trips, we enjoy all aspects of nature, and butterflies are always present with their incredible colors and shapes.
