Birding & Nature Tours

Short Tour - FEATHERED JEWELS OF THE CENTRAL ANDES

This 5 full-day birding trip is "the best slice of the entire cake", visiting the very best birding spots in the Central Andes, with magnificent species and intense moments of birding in a compact itinerary. This is the type of tour that any birder will love to have for a short birding spree. If you are on a business trip to Colombia having a few days to spare, or if you are on a longer birding trip with any other tour operator but wanting to have a good extension for your journey, then this is the tour that will fit into your agenda. Some of the specialties likely to be seen in this tour: Torrent Duck, Masked Saltator, White-capped Tanager, Golden-plumed Parakeet, Black-collared Jay, Hooded Mountain-Tanager, Ocellated Tapaculo, Mountain Cacique, Gray-breasted and Black-billed Mountain Toucans, Streaked Tuftedcheek, Chestnut Wood-Quail, Red-ruffed Fruitcrow, Brown-banded Antpitta, Stile´s Tapaculo, Bearded Helmetcrest and many others. Short Tour - BIRDING FOR A LONG WEEKEND IN THE BUFFER ZONE OF LOS NEVADOS NATIONAL PARK

Designed for a long weekend, this is a short (3 nights/4 days) and intensive birding excursion visiting the best cloud forests in the buffer zone of Los Nevados National Park. Magnificent birds, beautiful sceneries and a fast pace, yet with a fair amount of time in each locality that will allow us to enjoy a high number of endemics and specialties. Price: COL $1.120.000,oo pesos (US $560) per person. Size group between 2 and 8 participants maximum.

Short Tour - CERRO MONTEZUMA: ENDEMICS AND SPECIALTIES OF MONTANE CHOCÓ

Designed for a long weekend (3 nights/4 days), this is an incredible birding trip to what I believe is the best spot in Colombia to bird Montane Chocó: Cerro Montezuma in the Western Andes. A huge mountain fully covered with lush forest, crossed by an abandoned road that turns out to be the easiest and most comfortable trail to bird as we walk down the mountain. Birds are unsurpassable in beauty and rarity. We will certainly enjoy a fair number of endemics such as the Black-and-gold Tanager, Gold-ringed Tanager, Crested Ant-Tanager, Parker's Antbird, Munchique Wood-Wren or even the new species of Tapaculo currently being described . Price: COL $860.000,oo pesos (US $430) per person for a group of 2 participants; COL $680.000,oo pesos (US $340) per person for a group of 3-4 participants. Size group between 2 and 4 participants plus tour leader.
