Detailed itinerary_10days_Golden birds of the Central Andes_BTC 2026[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]This medium-length tour (9 nights / 10 days) aims at seeing an extraordinary collection of birds, including a large number of endemic & near-endemic Antpittas, Tanagers and Flycatchers, along with many beautiful Hummingbirds and Mountain Toucans. Tour itinerary has been carefully planned in order to cover the greatest number and variety of nature ecosystems, in a big altitudinal gradiente from 4,200 to 13,100ft (1,300 – 4,000m).

You will visit the most magnificent landscapes of the western slope of the Central Andes of Colombia within the buffer zone of Los Nevados National Park, where well protected watersheds are home to some of Colombia´s nicest, rarest and most threatened species.

The tour provides a list of 523 plausible species! This includes 67 species of flycatchers, 63 spp. of tanagers, 49 spp. of hummingbirds, 29 spp. of furnarids, 13 spp. of woodpeckers, 11 spp. of antpittas and 11 spp. of wrens!
